I have experimented enough and read enough other user comments to feel that the Home setting will likely be my go-to mode as the Auto mode does not seem to auto-recognise the separation between the different photos when( scanning 2 or 3 at a time and did not seem to scan the negatives at all and kept producing an image of the film holder only.
